Sacred Heart Convent School is an English Medium, co-educational School, situated at Devarkhera, Moradabad Road, Chandausi (U.P)
The Sacred Heart Convent School Chandausi is a Christian Minority Educational Institution run by the Sisters of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The society of Sacred Heart Congregation is registered under the Society’s Registration Act of 1985-86 vide Registration No 228. It was established in 1995. Students are prepared for the ICSE (Class X) and ISC Examinations (Class XII) of the council for Indian school certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
"When we honour the past. we energize the future and the present becomes a celebration". To support the finance of the Hindi medium school opened at Veerpur, Moradabad Dist. The Sacred Heart sisters thought of beginning an English medium school in U.P. It was then, the Vincentian Fathers, who invited us to open the school at Chandausi in the diocese of Meerut. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Moolechalil, and Rev. Fr. Thomas Alackakunnel helped in finding the site for school. Dr. Chandra and Adv. Promod kumar, two well-known residents of the area helped in the registration of the land. The foundation stone for the Sacred Heart Convent School was laid on 12th November 1994 by Rev. Fr.Sebastian Moolechalil and Rev. Fr. Mathew Vaniakizhakkel the Provincial Superior of Vincentian Congregation blessed the foundation stone. Later Rev. Fr. Thomas supervised the construction of the school building.
Our school was established on 09th July 1995 under the name"Sacred Heart Convent School Chandausi. Late. Rt.Rev. Bishop Patric Nair. Bishop of Meerut Diocese blessed the school building. Rev. Fr. MathewVaniakizhakkel, Rev. Fr. Thomas Alkackkunnel Rev. Fr. Laurance and Rev. Sr. Dr.Laurance the then Provincial Superior of JeevaJyoti Province, Delhi were present on this occasion. The first Principal was Rev.Sr.Christo. Sr. Usha Maria and Sr. Rosin were the other members. The new school was started with a prayer service on 10th July 1995. Rev.Sr. Dr.Laurance, the Provincial Superior inaugurated the new school year by lighting the lamp. All the parents and students participated in this function.
Regular classes were started on 17th July 1995 with L.K.G.2 section (47 students in each section). U.K.G. I section with 46 Students. Total strength of students were 140.
The main objective of the school is to impart training in all fields: academic, physical, cultural, moral and develop proper interest, attitude and values and skills and make each student a responsible and useful citizen. Admission is open to students of every caste, creed or social status and it holds up to them the sublime motto: "Love wisdom and service". We realise that the future of our nation depends on the moral strength of our youth and hence every effort is made to give our students a sound and all round education in keeping with the Nation's aspirations and to make them morally, physically and mentally fit to become active, useful and worthy citizens of our dear Motherland.
On July 7th 1997 we bade farewell to Rev. Sr. Christo, our Principal who had fondly nurtured our school during its infancy. On the same day we welcomed our new Principal Rev. Sr. Silvy. 31st March 2005 was the joyful and happiest moment for the Sacred Heart Convent School Chandausi. We got N.O.C. after a long period of hard work. As we haven't received the affiliation for our school, we had to send our students to Holy Family Convent School at Aonla. All our 32 students who took the ICSE examination as our first batch came out with flying colours with 100% victory. From academic year 2006- 2007 our school has been a venue of board exams.
In the year 2007 we bade farewell to Rev. Sr. Silvy our principal. Were member with gratitude her selfless and dedicated services for the past 10 years as the Principal of our school. On the same day we gave warm welcome back to our new principal Rev. Sr. Christo. In 2009 our school received permanent affiliation and got permission t start ISC classes with Maths, Science and Commerce steams. Higher Secondary classes were started in the academic year 2010-2011.
On 25th March 2010 we gave farewell to Rev. Sr. Christo our Principal and gave warm welcome to our New Principal Rev.Sr. Sherly. Our school has been growing year by year in grade and in number so in the year 2011 January 29th, the new K.G.block foundation stone was laid by Rev. Fr. Thomas Emprayil.
On 24th March 2012, our newly built K.G.building was blessed by Rev. Fr. George Vempilly V.C., the mission Superion of Vincentian Congregation. Rev. Sr. Sobel Provincial superior inaugurated the school building by cutting the ribbon. In the same year the new school building 1st floor Auditorium was blessed by Rev. Fr. Johnson V.C. In the year 2018 we rebuilt the administrative block and it was blessed by Rev. Fr. Thomas EmprayilV.C.and Rev. Sr. Usha Maria Provincial Superior were also present on this occasion.
With a heavy heart, tears in eyes and best wishes on lips the sacred Heart family bade farewell to Rev. Sr. Sherly. She sketched a trial of the memorable journey of her 9 years span in the school and thanked everyone for the co- operation and love. She welcomed Rev. Sr.Ann Mary as the new Principal and extended a floral welcome to her.
Our school has well-furnished classrooms with latest technology: smart boards, 3 well equipped computer labs. Science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology respectively and a regularly upgraded library with a wide range of books.
"Learning gives creativity, creativity leads thinking. thinking provides knowledge and knowledge makes us great". Falling in line with a great vision we provide several opportunities to our students like exhibition, art and craft work, cultural and literary competitions to bring out their talents and potentials hidden in then. Every year we organize a book fair at our school and discover excellent way of exposing children to a wide array of books and create reading habit in them.
Green is the prime colour of the world and that from which its loveliness arises. It’s also said that those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts...
To provide environmental education and to think about environmental conservation our students are given chances to plant trees in school compound.
Picnics help children to learn to socialize and relax as well as exposure. Our 1st to XIIth standard availed a beautiful opportunity to go to various places in India. Also, students visited the Botanical gardens of the Indian Republic Noida. They gained valuable information on various plants like local flora, rare plants.
Filling the school campus with overwhelming joy our students secured 100% victory in the ICSE 10th class as well as ISC 12th class examination every year.
The completion of twenty-four years is indeed a major milestone in the life of an educational institution. On 9th July 2019 we inaugurated the silver jubilee of our school. Rev.Sr. Linet, the counsellor for social work was the chief guest. Rev. Fr. Thomas our parish priest. Rev. Sr. Mary Punnolil, Sr. Daisy, Sr. Ajaya, Sr. Tresa and Sr. Elsy were present here and their presence made the occasion blissful. Sr. Linet congratulated the principals, sisters and staff for their handwork that made the institution famous in Chandausi.
Sacred Heart Convent School, Chandausi, provides a number of facilities and opportunities to its students. They participate in the State and National level events in sports and games specially in the recently held "UP and UK Regional Athletic meet 2019 in Gurukul Academy Lucknow, many ofour students have brightened the name of our school by coming in merit on State and National Level. We had very humble beginning with 140 students and three teachers. The school is growing steadily in strength and infra structure and has 2950 students and excellent team of 95 teachers and 20 supportive staff on role at present. We emphatically convey that the efforts of the present and former Principals and so many fathers, sisters and well-wishers, to construct a society that breathes ethical and spiritual values can be best rewarded.
As the strength is increasing and facing shortage of class rooms decided to construct K.G block separately. The foundation stone for Jubilee Memorial Kinder Garten is laid by Rev. Fr.RoyVC on 2nd November 2019.
Presently as the school celebrates its 25th Silver year of service to God and Country, it promises to continue the motto "LOVE, WISDOM AND SERVICE." I wish and pray that The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Bless us all with His choicest blessings on all our endeavours.
